U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on Tuesday named Georgia and 17 other states and the District of Columbia as finalists for more than $3 billion in funding as part of the second round of the Race to the Top program.
THS, Central, Cairo attend Bainbridge camp
Footballs were flying all over the practice fields adjacent to Bainbridge High School Thursday afternoon. GA finalist for second round of Race to the Top grants
ATLANTA Governor Sonny Perdue today announced that Georgia has been selected as one of 19 finalists by the U.S. Department of Education for the second round of federal "Race to the Top" grants. Georgia stands to receive up to $400 million over four years to implement its plan if selected.
